(Combining Focus)
This combines the focus of the first and second Breathing exercise in this program. This helps in ensuring that the breath is being done correctly by relating our lungs to a balloon filling up and then releasing. Through this three step approach enables students to become more aware of the deepness of breath, the timing of breath hold and the completeness of breath release. This not only is used to gain better learning focus, it can be used successfully in various areas through out life.

When there is only one vowel in a word or syllable and it is at the end, it will usually make a long sound - which is the letters name.
However, When there is only one vowel in a word or syllable and it is at the front or middle, it will usually make a short sound - which is the sound that the vowel sound.

Ss and Tt Blends
This simple activity bring concreteness to an abstract concept. Blends are a great way to build fluency understanding. The mini-poster is a visual reminding tool for the exercise.

Directions: Put the first sound in one hand and the next sound in the other. As your place your hands together, blend those two sounds in to a single one.

Ss is shy and keep their heads in the back.
The small letter Uu can not smile big enough to hide all of him; so , standing in the back is a line of his grayish green little body.

Reiteration - When there are two of the same consonants standing together in a word, one simply splits the word in between them into two syllables.
