#2 BREATHING ACTIVITY - (Hold for 3 seconds)
This Breathing exercise focuses on the amount of air and holding time to better calibrate and enhance the power of breath. Learning how much control we actually have over this simple act for powerfully improving our physical, mental and emotional aspects is crucially important. This Breathing exercise is very beneficial to do before dealing with any uncomfortable situation, such as taking tests, giving speeches or having challenging discussions.
LETTERS DIRECTIONALITY
Referring to the People line Banner, helps while reflecting upon reasons provided in the letter stories for each letter formation. The Practice Sheets provided review what is shown in the Video for this section.
Directions:
Remember the stories of each of the letters and why it looks the way it does. Circle the one that is correct.
Hints:
Kk doesn’t want to hurt anyone.
Ll doesn’t want her toes stepped on.
Jjs’ jobs are to make people happy.

Being correlated to this lesson makes it easy for student to go back over it with the video if needed.
Directions:
First help in saying the name of the picture. The together say it (demonstrated in the program) slowly, slower and then as slow as you can without stopping sound. The figure out which letter makes the first sound. If there is hesitancy, supply the appropriate sound prompt to help your student’s recall. Then as child writes the appropriate letter - reference the people line or use the writing prompt to reinforce the program.
Decoding Application - Slide
Using various aspects to associate to helps in strengthening the understanding of gaining fluency. Associating the smooth sliding motion of sledding without stopping to blending sounds without stopping helps.
