Separate or not?
Recently, I was asked, “Which is more important to me to promoting the CENTER Workshop or the Think about Thinking™ (TaT)?” The thing that caused me to ponder was in considering if the CENTER Workshop a separate thing from Think about Thinking™ (TaT)?
The truth is that the business purpose of providing TaT Workshops is for promoting Think about Thinking™ (TaT).
Because the Workshops (including CENTER) are components of the TaT resources along with presentations, positive practices, sessions, etc. within it, I do not see is as a separate entity from Think about Thinking™ (TaT) but rather, a piece of it. In fact, the CENTER poem itself is used as a grounding technique within each Think about Thinking Session.
The CENTER Workshop is more than just a ‘meditation 101’ because it actually contains 14 different TaT Positive Practices within it for folks to use individually or together in a synergistic combination of the full CENTER exercise. Both ways have been proven effective in reducing stress, improving focus, calming emotions and quieting thoughts.
Just when I thought i was really clear in my thinking of this… that because they are connected they are not separated, my eyes looked down at my hand. Seeing my fingers typing away, i realized that the comparison of the relationship of my fingers to my hand was similar to CENTER to TaT. Replacing this verbiage in the originating question which started this whole pondering process, “Which is more important to me one of my fingers or my hand? Easily I could answer, “hand”. So i guess the answer to the original question, is Think about Thinking™ (TaT)” lol!
