Letters to Language™: Where joyful learning builds confident readers, writers, and spellers
“LtL doesn’t just teach children how to read… it teaches them how to learn.”
Letters to Language™ system—created to help students truly understand how written language works, rather than simply memorize it.
Through this course, students learn how letters and sounds connect, how directionality works, and how to decode, write, and spell with clarity and confidence.
Using a powerful blend of all learning modalities—visual, auditory, kinesthetic, tactile, rhythm, emotional, and imaginative—this course teaches in the way the brain remembers best.
Students don’t just hear the information… they see it, feel it, move it, and experience it, helping learning stay with them.
How Learning Happens in Letters to Language™
We teach students how written language works—so they can decode, write, and spell with confidence.
The program teaches the student through guided lessons and materials, while parents and instructors reinforce and support the learning with simple, enjoyable activities.
This allows students to build understanding step by step, with confidence and success.
Students gain the understanding needed to build a strong foundation in literacy—while enjoying the process of learning.
In the Letters to Language™ imaginary world of letters, symbols transform into creatively imaginative characters that create a direct and meaningful connection from symbol to sound.
Through storytelling, movement, and imaginative role-play, students joyfully discover why letters look and sound the way they do.
As a result, students decode, write, and spell with clarity and confidence—because the entire alphabet finally makes sense.
Letters to Language™ goes beyond traditional learning methods by using specially designed techniques to help cement essential foundational information into long-term memory—all while children are smiling, laughing, and engaged.
When students understand how written language works, learning to read, write, and spell becomes natural and enjoyable.

Why Letters to Language™ works
Most programs ask students to memorize letters and words.
Letters to Language™ teaches students to understand them.
When students understand:
• how letters are formed
• how sounds connect to letters
• how directionality works
Decoding, writing, and spelling become logical, easier, and lasting.
The program uses visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and emotional learning together, so students learn, remember, and apply what they learn.
The program also uses specially designed prompts that gently guide students when they cannot recall a letter’s name, sound, or formation.
Instead of being given the answer, students are given the prompt that helps them remember it for themselves, strengthening understanding and long-term memory.

A Personal Note from LaVerne
After many years of teaching and developing these materials, I was finally given the opportunity to transform them into this animated version. I truly believe that time—and all of my efforts—have brought us together in this moment so that this program can be of help to you and your student.
My father once blessed me with these words:
“Verne, you don’t just teach children how to read; you teach people how to learn.”
From that day forward, I made it my goal to live in a way that would make those words true.
I am honored that you are here, and I am excited for your student to experience the many benefits of this work that has been a part of my life for so many years.
With peace,
LaVerne McGrath
